So yesterday we headed to the Pottery Barn outlet in hopes of a new 8x10 rug for the dining room. We had visions of finding one of our fav West Elm rugs that someone had returned or damaged ever so slightly. (I think that's how these things get to the outlet.) It did not so much work that way.
The outlet mall was PACKED. Like - we almost ran over 4 families in the parking lot packed. Also, at Pottery Barn there was a sale on rugs. This did not bode well. There were maybe 4 or 5 rugs left in the size we needed, and none were close to a color combo that would work. We did however, not leave empty handed (of course). You can see our haul in the weekend round-up.
Also, our cashier, Sarah, remembered us from last time we were there looking at rugs. This was over a month ago that we were last there. She sees thousands of people. I guess that's what happens when you lay out every large rug in the place to compare and contrast. She was nice very nice to us, but I have to wonder if there was some kind of alert over the walkie-talkies when we entered.
Anyone else have and rug-luck this weekend?
